Biographical / Historical

On May 25, 1925, Mr. Calvin Frantz and Mr. C. Stanley Laudenslger represented the group of 25 people to petition the Classis of Philidelphia to organize a congregation in Glenside. The petition was granted and on June14, 1925, the organization known then as the Glenside Reformed Church was effected by the committee of Classis. In October 1925, the Reverend Theodore Wiemer was the first Minister to serve the newly established Church. It was decided to change the place of meeting to the P. O. S. of A. Hall at Keswick and Glenside Avenues. The church continues as Glenside UCC at 2160 Warton Rd. Pastors who have served include: 1925-???? Walter Beattie (supply) 1927-1932 Theodore C.
