Biographical / Historical

Rev. George Michael Weiss held the first communion in 1727 in the Goshenhoppen region. By 1732 land was purchased and a small log church constructed. A larger stone church was built in 1744, the log structure being used for a school. A new building was built in 1857/58 which has additions and remodeling through the years. The Reformed congregation was part of the Goshenhoppen Charge which included New Goshenhoppen (East Greenville, PA.) and Trinity (Great Swamp), Lower Milford Township, Lehigh County.
