Biographical / Historical
First Church merged with Butler Memorial (had been Hope Church, at Tenth and Oakland in Indianapolis, renamed Butler Memorial in 1907) in 1925. At that time they took the name of First Church and occupied the Butler Church building. First UCC merged with St. Paul's UCC in 1989 to form Ellenberger UCC.
