Biographical / Historical
John Miller Light was born September 5, 1919 in Lebanon, PA. He was the son of Frederick W. and Margaretta (Miller) Light. He graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1944. He served as pastor of Orangeville Charge, Line Mountain Charge, St. Paul's UCC, Taylor, PA and Heidelberg UCC, Hatfield, PA. Upon retirement he moved to Lancaster, then relocated to Phoebe Berks Village in 1999. He died March 6, 2012 in Wernersville, PA. He was married to Mary (Baum) Light for 60 years. He was survived by three children: Frederick H. and Thomas C. Light and Nancy Light Hardy.
