Biographical / Historical

Janell Landis grew up in Boyertown, PA and graduated from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH and Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. She also completed graduate studies at Columbia University and language studies in Tokyo, Japan. She was commissioned in 1953 by the American Board of Foreign Missions to serve in Japan. She served a total of 43 years in Japan as an English Teacher at Miyagi Gakuin Women's University in Sendai.
