Biographical / Historical
Began as Zoar Asylum in 1879 by the Rev. Wilhelm Hansen. In 1894, the Zoar Asylum was put up for sale and was purchased by a group of people under the leadership of Rev. C.W. Haass and was renamedthe "German Protestant Home for the Orphans and Old Folks." The organization is now under the governance of EHM Senior Solutions, the former Evangelical Homes of Michigan.
